Question Does a PS2 gamecontroller have an USB plug? (aka can it be used on a pc?)

Hi, I have a weird question for you: Can I use a PS2 gamecontroller in my USB port on my Windows PC?
Because I'm playing Zelda on an emulator, but my gamecontroller is starting to freak out.
Causing Link to die multiple times....

So I went to shop for a new one, but they were expensive!
The cheaper one was a PS2 controller, but it doesn't say what kind of plug it has,
and the sales person didn't wanted to take it out of the showcase to check it neither
(he obviously doubted if I would buy the darn thing, lol).

In the end I still don't know if there is an USB plug on the PS2 controller or not.
And if there is some sort of special PS plug on it, can I change that to an USB with some soldering?
Or am I forced to buy a "special" PC gamecontroller for 45 Euro?

Anyone who can answer me these questions?
    Thank you for reading!

there are the following that I know of.

    1) a normal ps2 controller with the standard 9 pin play-station plug.
    2) a usb copy of the ps2
    3) usb adapters that take the playstation plug and convert it to usb.
    4) ps3 controllers are usb.
Original, the only way to play.
