Neoragex problems. Any ideas?

Hey i have neoragex, and when i boot the emulator the screen doesnt load correctly. my mouse movement is barely shown, the emulator menu graphics are broken up, and makes it near imposssible to navigate through the menus. The emulation process itself works fine and plays all of my games. Any idea on what might be the cause or a possible fix?

and it is a mess.. I've never had that problem with NeorageX.
Not really sure what advice to give..
