When I play a lot of other emulated systems I don't usually suffer from the problem I have when playing Gameboy type games.

Despite the fact a lot of Gameboy games are old and all that, the experience just does not compare to the handheld. The fluidity, the response time of button presses, the feel of the screen, it just seems lost on all but a few games.. Donkey Kong Land, for instance, is very smooth and fluid compared to a lot of Gameboy games, but even when you played them on the handheld unit, they still felt a hell of alot smoother and responsive than emulators seem capable of.

Hell maybe I am just using the wrong emulator, I don't know. Whatever.

I can't see a good reason why it would be any different on an emulator.

But hey, I'm writing a Gameboy emulator of my own currently. Perhaps that will please you when it's done (months yet).

I think its definitely a per emulator issue.

I can already tell the difference between VBA and BGB, BGB being the better one for GB Mono .

Be interesting to see your emulator when its done tho
