Question can't get Silent Hill to display appropriately on ePSXe 1.7

When I use Pete's OpenGL Driver 1.74 (or basically any of Pete's OpenGL drivers) my game looks like this:

I read this post: http://forums.emulator-zone.com/show...?t=7809&page=1 and tried the configuration provided there, but characters still have a white square around them.

If I switch to Pete's Soft Driver 1.52, things improve a little bit, but I still get weird textures:

Can anyone provide a good video/sound configuration for this game? (my sound doesn't work extremely great either, but video is what bugs me the most).

    Thanks a lot!

    Default Mask Bit is needed.

All you need is activating the mask bit.

    Mask bit: on

    Windows 7 Professional x64 // Arch Linux x64
AMD Phenom II x6 1090T clocked at 4000 Mhz
8 Gb Dual Ram Corsair, running at 2000 Mhz
Ati Radeon HD 4850 1 Gb Ram
    Mother Board Asus M4A89TD PRO/USB3
