Annoying white boxes in Super Mario World (GBA on PSP)

I'm using gpsp kai on my PSP to play Super Mario Advance 2: Super Mario World. The game runs pretty much perfectly except for one tiny graphical glitch that really bugs me. You know when you beat a Switch Palace and the sign comes up saying 'The power of the switch..."? Well, it comes up but it has this huge white bar that runs straight through it. I've tried multiple roms from multiple websites, even different versions of the emulator, but it always does it.

It's something I can live with, but I'd much rather get rid of it. Does anyone know how to get rid of this? Settings to change, etc?

Does this happen with some other games? Did you try to play around with the Video Settings?

It's just this one so far as I can tell, but like I said, I've tried multiple roms so I don't think it's the rom :/ Yeah I has a little play with them, I'll just keep trying Thanks
