    Default SSF Emulator Problem

When I try opening the SSF exe, all I get is the program appearing on my taskbar but doing nothing, I heard that this can happen if you don't have DirectX9 up to date. Unfortunately when I try to install DirectX9 it says I got the most up to date version. So what do I do, and btw where do I put the bios. I never had these problems with any other emulators like Project 64, PCSX2. My system specs are beyond what is required, my system specs are:

    Pentium D 920 2.8 GHZ
    2 GB DDR2 667 MHZ Ram
Zotac Geforce 9800 GT 512 MB

and i'm using the 0.12 alpha version

    so what's wrong?

You need a PC powerful enough to run PCSX2 to SSF well. The creator of SSF recommends an i7 actually to run it, LOL.

It takes a while to initialize often and it is finicky when it does run and crashes a lot.
