Provided that you have the correct roms it should work. I don't have any problems with it on WinXP.
Zinc is a command line emulator, try using a frontend to make things easier.

Use any Frontends to make ZiNc works better. B)
the emulator wont even scan the zinc rom(strider2).. this is what i did
downloaded zinc102-win32 extraceted it to folder then downloaded ZincGui-1.9.5 extracted it to the same folder. clicked on ZincGui.exe and edit game's conf. clicked on browse to look for the rom folder. then went to view in the menu bar and clicked show only availible. then scan roms and no rom even showed...

Did you obtain that complete Strider ROM that can be playable on MAME as well? B)
