Default Transferring PJ 64 save file from one computer to another?

My laptop computer is fixed and so I want to transfer my Paper Mario save from my desktop to my laptop so I don't have to start from the beginning if I want to play on my laptop. I have a 4 gig flash drive I've tried to transfer the file with but... when I open the game file in my other computer, it starts a new game.

So... can anybody offer advice? Or do I have to start from the beginning?

Did you transfer the save file directly into the save folder on your different computer? If you did and that didnt work, then you might wanna see if you can rename the save file to replace the save that automatically started with Pj on your new computer.

On my desktop, I can see there is a save game folder, but PJ64 on the new computer doesn't have a save folder at all. After installing PJ64 on my computer, no save folder was made... I think that my newer laptop allowed for a newer build of project 64 to be built or something, a build that doesn't have an accesible quick-save folder.
