pcsx2 emulating

hello i didnt see a thread that answered this so ill just throw it out there, does anyone know if its possible to get pcsx 2 working ? if so please give details on what is needed and where to get it . thank you

I think this question is backwards? You should give us details in why it does not work? Yes it works and for must of us we just set it up and configure the plugins. There is nothing we can tell you that will fix your problem. You need to give us some hint as to why its not working for you. Start with what you see. Do you see an error, whats in the log the you see scrolling by. What plugins are you using?

your statement is true, I am asking ahead of my actions , i have yet to download or get any plugins because i have yet to here that someone has had it up and in working order and am still unsure where to get the plug ins or if pcsx2 is even the best emulator to do the job. all info i find is dated 5- 6 yo and all say that emulating ps2 is impossible at the moment. I will get the pcsx2 and if u have any advice for where to search for bios and plugins i would greatly appreciate it . Sorry i do like to trouble shoot befor i attempt any actions.

Thradius: This is not direct at you. Your just a product of the effect of idiots running there mouths.

You see this is just the friggen problem, people have to go running their mouths when they dont even know what they are taking about.

1) pcsx2 is ran by a team of very respectable people, most of which worked on many PSX emulators. They know what they are talking about. Of course it works!
3) I use it for many game, I can attest to it working.
4) you should have a decent computer. I only have an amd phenom 550, and had it working on my amd 180. ( dual core is highly suggested )
5) MOST IMPORTANT! If you want the game to act like it does on the real console, go buy the console!
6) If you want an idea of what games play, see the compatibly list.
7) All games will not run well, some better then others. Do not expect the games to run 100%. You may get stuck in certain spots, you may not be able to use save states, or may have a bad iso.

Emulation: Simply put, its a way to show off. That is it,period. If I write an emulator I'm doing this because I want to gloat, boast, or rant about my abilities. There is nothing more to this, emulators are not for retail, they are not for stealing, or otherwise some sort of method to cheat the system (no pun intended) . If you want it to run perfectly buy the damn console!

Thradius, if you would like to try ps2 emulation and have the time to learn and download go for it. We will help you, and no its not a waste of time. Warning :it can be frustrating, and also addicting.

im glad to see u r pationate on the subject and agree that if anyone is expecting console results on their computer then their epectations can only be matched by their ignorance. do u know a site that actually has roms for ps2, ive been to 23 sites since my last reply and all say vote and get download and none actually have the rom. just trying to find a good rpg rom site for the ps2 and could use some good directions . i left configuration as is , still now bios ,win xp pro, 1.80 MGHz 750 ram with Nvidia 6200 graphics card. deffinitly not up to date . if u think im pissing against the wind pls let me know

Yes I know of may sites, however I can not discuss that here, read the rules. Same goes for bios files but they are easy to come by.

ok, i see them now , just had a msg sent but was blocked, i temporarilly allowed pop ups incase its u or an admin wanting to repremand me for rule breaking.
