Thread: VBA saving

    Post VBA saving

This is my first time using an emulator. I've been trying to save games on my macbook using VBA. Every time I try to open the saved file it says "Unknown file type /Users/VisualBoyAdvance 1.7.4/Battery Saves/Pokemon Emerald.sav".

Does anyone know how I can get this to work?

    Thanks

You are supposed to open the .gba (ROM) file. The .sav file will automatically load.

I'm having the same problem. The files are saved, and yet, they won't load on the VBA. None of my save files are loading up to the program. But, they're on my computer.

Check your Directories, in the Old VBA I think you go to Options > Emulator, with ReRecorded its Options > Preferences.
VBA might be looking for the save files somewhere else.

If you notice that there is 2 Files one named VBA and another named vba2 which have ini as an extension and the icon looks like a file with a yellow gear, that because when you opened up 2 VBA 2 different configure files were made and the 2nd ones aren't like the first.
Delete vba2.ini seeing as VBA can't connect.

If you played from NO$GBA to VBA you need to convert the sav file.
    Do you flash or EMULATE?
I could help with DS, PS2, etc Emulators and a Link for updating Flashcards.
