VisualBoy Advance Colour Help

Hi guys im new here and if i havent intro'd yet im sorry but i have a problem.

I want to use VBA to play Super Mario Land 2 in colour like on a Super Gameboy which VBA has, but the only game i can play in colour is Donkey Kong.

Now i can accept it if SML 2 doesnt have colour but ive seen people play it in colour a couple of different times, so i know it's somehow, is it me or is it the emulator,

Please help me, im gonna play DK while i kindly wait for a response.

I always thought that the Super GameBoy played original GB games in B&W just with a coloured border/bezel?. At least that's the way it plays all the one's I've tried with it.

no super game boy plays gameboy games in colour on tv, donkey kong does it but super mario land 2 doesnt.
