Default Game Saves from one emulator to another...

I was told by a developer for an SNES emulator on Android that it is possible to share save states between one emulator and another, as long as you name them correctly.

Snesoid (Android) produces .sav save states. Whereas ZSNES produces .zst and .srm files. Is it as easy as renaming the .sav as a .zst or .srm? I tried and it didn't work like I had hoped. Anyone know how to set this up?

In addition, is there simply an emulator that reads the same .sav save states?

    Thank you!

SAve states contain ( for the most part ) the same data. Normally there is a header that contains some other info. Sometimes the header holds emulator specific stuff and you would need to edit that out. Its also very important to know that you need the exact rom image with the save state, any alteration is not going to be a match. So USA Zelda save will not work with USA/EUR Zelda .
