tgb-dual problem with .sav

hey there,

i've got a problem: i downloaded tgb-dual emulator in hope to trade pokemon, but unfortunatly it doesn't work... (games for game boy color)

it may load .gbc files, but i always read about loading .sav or .sa2 files. these ones are saved in a "save-folder" but the programm isn't able to load them.
some signs like @<<,,? etc. are appearing.

i can play games (.gbc) with tgb-dual, but i cannot access to saved game states (.sav)
and starting a new game everytime doesn't make any sense, does it? ^^

who can help? or am I just not clever enough to handle it?
