Default MAME / MAMEWah Remove dupes

I'm running MAMEWah as a front end with MAME 0.135 (I think) and with the complete romset it's really tedious and redundant having to scroll through that many dupes and clones. Is there some way to automatically scan and remove anything that doesn't work? Or maybe load up just a USA romset in MAMEWah?

    Thanks!

Download the English catver.ini file from Here

In the mamewah/config/mame folder you should have a mame.ini and another called mame-0.ini. Copy the mame-0.ini and rename it mame-1.ini. Now you have mame.ini, mame-0.ini and mame-1.ini in the config folder.

Go back to the main mamewah folder and open mamewah.ini. Input the location of the catver.ini file you downloaded next to the catver field and re-save it.

Now run mamewah, bring up the menu and go to game list options then generate filtered list.

You will be given options to allow or remove clones, working or non working, game type, manufacturer, year, control type and lots of other filters. You can use the method above to generate as many different filtered lists as you like. By setting clones to 'no' and by setting non-working and preliminary to 'no' you will generate a list of just single original working titles.

If you get stuck or if I haven't explained it well enough feel free to post again or chuck me a PM.
