PSX 1 Emulator Key issues

Ok so i understand the configuration process and i've decided to switch it around since i had this issue.
Basically i'm playing Harvest moon for ps1 and it loads up fine. Goes into the intro and it tells me to press start. It also does the little demo video to show what you can do in the game so i know it's working fine.
The issue is that my game won't register when i press start. I know it was the enter button, but just to make sure i changed it around and it still doesn't register the start button.
It will fast foward, it acknowledges when i press escape, but in terms of the start button.. i got nothin.

Any ideas of what could cause this issue?

I have had the same issue. My buttons don't work. They used to work fine until one day they just randomly stopped working.. I can't even begin to play the game. I've tried a 'fresh isntall', into adifferent folder with a brand new BIOS and plugins. For some reason I can't use it anymore. It loads ROMS fine, gets to the menu but I can't progress. I've tried going through and pressing every single button on my keyboard but nothing works.. Does anyone know what is causing this? Did we accidently press something we weren't supposed to? Even so, I don't know why that would be an issue as I have a completely fresh copy of ePSXe, it's BIOS and plugins.??? HELP!!!!
