    Default Question

I'm about to buy a new laptop or desktop. Does anybody have any suggestions as to what would be the most compatible for emulators? Was thinking about a Toshiba satellite laptop with core i3 processor, 4GB memory, and 64-bit system. I'm not really looking for a straight gaming computer I just wanna make sure the ps1 and project 64 emulators will work for my computer.

PS1 and N64 emulators would work perfectly for any computer bought in the last 5 years.

Thanks, but I was also wandering about the operating systems. Most of what I'm looking at comes with windows 7. I was looking at emulator requirements and most say they work the best or only with xp. I read that u can run windows 7 in xp mode but need to download some virtual software or something. Mabye I should try and stay with xp when I buy? I'm tryin to learn about all this stuff any reply would be very helpful.
