    Question Mamewah or AtomicFE?

I've just started using AtomicFE to build my gaming pc, its seems to do what I want apart from showing a text box with what a game is about Can Mamewah do that? I've seen so many people say Mamewah is good, but I'm just wondering what makes it better than AtomicFE? Is it really worth the hassle of editing ini files lol or should I just try and get by with AtomicFE

For any front-end you'll need some kind of dat/xml/text file that already contains the information you want displayed about each game, they don't just do it automatically. Mamewah can easily display a box with game info providing you already have a file that it can reference in relation to each romname that contains information about that game.

The only emulator that has a well documented history file for every game is Mame AFAIK (also the various Gamebase databases but they are almost exclusively for 80's computers like the C64 and Amiga). You can get mamewah to display the history and game info for each mame game using the history.dat. You would need something similar for other emulators too.

FE's are a matter of personal choice, you try a few, find the one you like the look and functions of and use that one.
