expe running error!

I was playing Final Fantasy VIII and battling the ultima weapon GF when an error message pops up about... (too much blocks or something). That was the first message; I tried a few times afterward and each time I get a differnt error message. All of them after the first involved "Error Running expe" and then "opcode....(etc.)". I wrote down the 2nd error exactly:

Error Running expe
opcodeUNK (pc0000047c) (6510059,182)

However, when the 3rd and 4th error messages spawned differnt numbers and letters, I didn't even bother to write them down.

Anyone know what the heck this is and how the heck I can fix it?

Oops! I kept trying from a save state I made in the middle of the battle; save states can be unstable at times, so I just started from where I last saved, restarted the battle, and was able to beat Ultima Weapon without it crashing or having any errors. Just goes to show you that you can't always rely on save states to get you through the game. My bad for not thinking of the state at the center of the problem sooner....
