I have this rather bizarre problem of the lower three levels of the Sea Of Jade being "missing" beginning at the waterfall on B3. By the way this is the true FFII on NES, not the one with Dark Knight Cecil on SNES, to clear up any confusion, not meant to put down those already in the know. Anyways, I brought this issue to a Final Fantasy board and inadvertently ran afoul of one of these anti-emulation zealots, but I did get suggestions from a couple of other folks to try some different roms and rename my savestate file, so I wouldn't have to redo the whole game with the new ROM. Well, I've tried that on about 20-30 different ROMs, and still have the same problem. I was playing NeoDemiforce's basic v1.03 ROM (no a1's or hm02's after the filename) on FCEUltra (I also tried the newer FCEUX which has the same problem with WORSE sound). I also previously had the same issue come up with the US prototype ROM (which has a horrid translation by the way). So basically, I'm trying to figure out if this is a ROM issue, an Emulator issue, or I need some special patch or something. Since I can't post pics on this site, I'll try my best to describe the problem in words. I found a map at a different Final Fantasy site that shows there's supposed to be stairs going down on the west side of the waterfall, only in my game, the waterfall cuts off in the middle of the screen and there's nothing but solid rock at the bottom of the screen, where there should be a pathway and more stairs leading down. I would greatly welcome any assistance in this matter, hope you guys can help.
