Default .RAW audio file settings (ripping music)

    Question:
I am trying to extract/rip? the audio from MGS3

What are the settings for a .RAW audio file?

Could I find out the settings for the .RAW file
through the PS2 emulator since it can play the audio file correctly

when I play it all I hear is static,
I assume that is because the parameters are wrong when I play it

    Stuff used:
    pcsx2 0.9.6
    MFAudio
    KonamiDat

    Background:
I wanted to play PS2 games on the PC
Then I want to explore whats in the CD
Now I want to get the Audio from the disc
(Metal Gear Solid 3: Subsistence, Disc 1)

As far as I recall, you usually need to get customized ripping applications made for specific (popular) games.. like GTA, etc..

The reason the emulator can play music, is because it emulates the actual audio chip in the PS2, and can read the format the music is stored in, on the DVD itself.

That is a far cry from simply playing a file in an audio player.

Try reading through this, maybe it will get you the info you need?
