To clarify, I'm using the keyboard as a controller.
Through Project 64, and 1964, it just shows a controller with a big X through it and I can't click anything. How do I fix this?
Thanks in advance.

Nvm, I got it. I played around with the controls inside 1964, and it worked. I have no idea what I did though lol. Now I'm just trying to get it to stop skipping and looking blocky. :/
Yea dude, i'm using the same emulator. same game. The control settings is easy but all nintendo 64 games i try to play, the graphics are bugged out. with pokemon stadium the background is weird
I know, it's like playing on the Atari or Nintendo or something, with the giant blocky things and the background either looks weird, or the textures freaking out and parts of it are spontaneously jerking around. Plus the sound is really glitchy and everything freezes a lot.
Does the same thing on 1964, another N64 emulator, except the the freakout is different.
My system has played other, higher tech games, like Warcraft III so I don't know what it could be.
I do however know I'm thinking about just snapping and buying a Yellow cartridge from a pawn shop or something because I hate working with computer stuff like this. This is why I don't play many games on the computer.
If you get it to work, tell me how you did it though please. I don't want to readily give up my level 35 KadabraI had to put that thing back in the box to get a challenge because it was massacring everything so easily lol.
I know this has been solved above, but make sure the control is plugged in (active) in the controller/input configuration plugin.
Your system can handle WarCraft III because it's a PC game. I've already explained it here.
