Resident Evil 2 DualShock edition problems

I downloaded RE2 and am currently playing Leon's disk on ePSXe, and the games lags when triggering a cutscene (especially in the gun shop), opening a door, or even going in and out of the menu or switching camera angles.

The voice also doesn't seem to synch with the game, but that's not much of a problem.

Sometimes the game lags to completely freezing, which it usually does in the Gun Shop or in the door past the first Licker.

Does anyone else have these problems? Did I download a bad iso? Is it a problem with the emulator?

Remove the reference to the romsite - it violates the forum AUP.

The problem with downloading ISO's is a lot of them are rips that either aren't very good, have errors, or have missing speech and FMV.

I would suggest sourcing a different ISO from a different source. If the problem persists then its probably related to the emulator/PC side of things. If the problem goes away (or changes) then you know its an issue with the ISO.

Its also worth trying the disk image you have with the PSX emulator. PSX offers more faithful 1:1 emulation than ePSXe (but doesn't have so many options for tweaking the looks). If you have the same issues with PSX then you can be 99% certain its your disk image.
