Question about NES emulators save states

Hi. I just had a quick question. I've noticed that most that the shortcuts for most NES emulators are F5 for save, F8 for load, and F6 and F7 for cycling through the save states. is there one that is set us like Visual Boy Advance? (i.e. F1 loads save state 1, shift+F1 saves state 1, F2 loads state 2, shift+F2 saves state 2, etc.)
