PLEASE HELP!!! saving and loading problems with 1.6.0 epsxe

im new to playstation emulation so forgive me ahead of time is this is a dumb problem.

i have downloaded epsxe 1.6.0 emulator and some games. ive started playing legend of dragoon again and i cant save with the memory card slots or the save states. when i save in the game at a save point i format the mem card and save, but when i go to load nothing happens. same thing with the save states, i try to save it in a save state slot and nothing happens and i getting seriously frustrated. any help will be GREATLY appriciated.

I could help you If you had 1.7.0. you should probably have the newer version anyway.

i have 1.7.0 but it wont run any of my isos i have. im not sure why thats why ive been using 1.6.0.

well i got 1.7.0 to work and same problem. i seriously think its me having a brain fart or something. PLEASE HELP ME I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT IS WRONG!!!

Try 1.5.2. I've been having issues with many games such as Final Fantasy.
