hey guys havent been on here for a while...

a while ago i built a mame box 3ghz c2d i have an 8800gt 512mb car and im running soft15khz with a home made vga to scart cable... it looked much better on my crt tv than it did on my pc monitor but the lowest resolution the 8800gt dose is 512 x 448 im considering getting rid of the 8800gt getting a the arcadevgs to get the natice resolutions.

will i see a big diffrence using the native resolutions the games stil look blocky and just not rite.

Hello jox43w, You cannect the home-made scart cable to the CRT TV? And when you were connecting VGA to VGA to the PC Monitor, it didn't look better?

Hi mate,

Post the video options you are using from your mame.ini the pixellated appearance is more likely setting than res related. You should also be able to force non native res via your Nvidia card. There is an app that will open up the extra res settings in the nvidia control panel although, I've not fiddled with it for a year or three, I'll see if I can find it later if I get time.
