Thread: MAME Controls Problem

    Default MAME Controls Problem

I am trying to set up MAME on a custom control panel for an arcade and everything is working properly except when I hold down a button, it lets right back up. It does it for both joysticks and buttons. Is there an option somewhere that I am missing? Thanks in advance!

I can't say I have heard of this before. Assuming that this joystick has a driver, does that happen in the game controllers control panel in windows?
Original, the only way to play.

Check things like your keyboard repeat rate in the windows control panel and turn off things like stickykeys if its turned on.

Also check that you have wired the buttons and sticks properly you have 3 prongs from each microswitch the bottom being ground and the other 2 are NO (normally open) and NC (normally closed). Your wiring should be to the NO terminal and a seperate connection to ground with no connection to the NC terminal.

If your ground connections are daisy chained, check each connection in the chain is unbroken and making a good circuit and double check that the final ground connection to your keyboard encoder is ok.
