No$GBA sudden change?

Hi! Something really weird happenned to No$GBA and I can't figure it out!

Ok, some time ago No$GBA was able to run ZeldaPH with a decent speed, but now, when I returned to playing Zelda, it BARELY runs when it's in 3d(2d games run fine). The same thing seems to happen with other 3d games(like Nintendogs). How was it able to run the games fine before, but now it doesn't?

But here's the really weird part: Mario64DS (a very heavy 3d game) runs better than ever it seems. As if it's running on the DS itself! How can this game run so smoothly, yet other 3d games don't?
And why did it happen so suddently? I haven't changed my emulator, ROM or settings(but it still doesn't work even if I change them). They worked before, but now they don't!

What could possibly be the reason?

Other emu don't work very well. But they work better than no$gba for Nintendogs atleast. But Zelda didn't work on them (one rom crashed and an other rom didn't start at all). It's all weird.

My real concern is that no$gba USED to work better before(for 3d games).
What could have caused the change?

I tried 2.5 but it still works worse than before.
No$gba is probably making problems because of my computer or something. IDK. I can't put my finger on it, it just works worse than before.

The way I see it, if it ran fine before and it's the same exact version on the same system, then there HAS to be a way to fix it back. Now if you updated to another version then you should be aware that if an emulator is updated it can break some games while improving others. The authors usually care more about accurate emulation than speed or playability. I'm going to assume it's the same version and system based on your posts here.

Try this stuff:

1. Remove the emulator completely from your system, download it again from the author's site, and reinstall it. Keep in mind that no$gba is only one file and a README, DON'T DELETE YOUR ROMs! This will ensure that the emulator is not corrupted.
2. It may also be a problem with video drivers, DirectX, or anything else you updated, installed, or reinstalled recently. Sometimes if a new video driver or update causes a new issue then they will release a fix for it within days of the original release, so update all your drivers (especially video and sound) and DirectX and then reboot.
3. Someone could have modified a setting in the operating system that effected the emulator. Use Windows system restore to set the settings on your computer back the way they were at some point in the past. Try the closest available restore points first. Try two or three restore points and if this doesn't work, revert it back.
4. A Windows update or hotfix could have had a bug in it that effected something in your operating system. Hotfixes are usually released on Tuesday. If by chance your computer automatically downloaded a patch on some faithful Tuesday past and it broke your computer, then Micro$oft may have released another hotfix to fix that hotfix. If that didn't make sense to you, it's OK... Micro$oft never makes any sense, they're much more concerned with making cents. Just go to Windows Update and download and install whatever have have for you, especially if it's in the video or sound drivers section. Reboot and try again.
5. Remove the emulator an install the next oldest version. You never know someone might have upgraded it for you (little brother or sister, etc) or you might have been drunk (or on crystal meth?). If it doesn't work then go back to the latest version.
6. If you're using the DOS version try the Windows version, if your using the Windows version try the DOS version. Whatever is wrong may not effect both. This would be more of a work around than a fix. I keep both versions. This way I have all the features on the Windows executable and on slow games I can get a burst of speed from the less bloated DOS version. They should both work on XP, if you don't have XP then I'm I'm not sure if you'll be able to use both.

If none of this stuff works then answer the following questions and I'll try to help you further:

• What operating system do you use (ie version of Windoze)
• Do you have on-board graphics or a card? (if you don't know, then it's probably on-board) If you have a separate card then what kind? Tell me everything you can about it.
• Do you have on-board sound or a card? (again if you don't know, then it's probably on-board) If you have a separate card then what kind? Tell me everything you can about it. Bad sound can slow graphics to a crawl and simply enabling sound on lower end systems can cause various issues.
• How much RAM do you have?
• What processor do you have? Is it single core, dual core or quad core? Super-Double-Decker-Dual-Sextuplet-Quad-Core? Tell me about it's specs.
• Have you recently updated or upgraded any hardware or software? (whether it has anything to do with graphics or video or not)
• Can you help me move a large sum of money out of Nigeria?
