can someone tell me how i can get started

hello this is my first post and don't know much about emulators or using them correctly. I have downloaded a emulator with roms before and i still have it ,it's SEGA.Master.System.371 roms.with Fusion351 emulator INTERNAL-XPZ from pirate bay. This was my first time trying use something like this and i didn't get far. Every time i try to load a rom it ether wont play game or it will just fast forward ,i don't understand this. The truth is i can just load sonic and a few other games ,but i just end up teasing my self due to my total lack of experience with emulators. Is there any very simple emulators for sega that are good for beginners? If so i can learn to use this Fusion that's been messing with my head it's got lots of roms and said to be all the good ones so i need to learn.

Fusion is already a very simple emulator. Everything that you need to know is in the Readme.txt. If that didn't come with your download, get it from the offial homepage.
Just take your time and read it, it's worth it
