    Arrow Unusual FF IX problem

    I'm running final fantasy IX on PSXeven, and it works just fine. the FPS is a constant 60, and cutscenes are beautiful.here's the thing tho; every time i use something that heals my party in battle (cure magic, pheonix down, etc.), the emulator takes me back to the menu and i lose progress. plus, i get this error message at the emulator's menu:

    ERROR: Reserved opcode being called : 0x 4000000 !!!! @0x fdd
    -- emu released due to error --
    * Ended.

    I've already tried running it on an earlier version and changing the graphics card, and it still doesn't work. here are my specs:

    Windows Vista
    Intel Core 2 Duo
    Video Card: Mobile Intel(R) 965 Express Chipset Family ()

    And I'm running this on PSXeven v0.19
    Graphics card: P.E.Op.S. Soft Driver

    please help me. i'm stumped

    An "opcode" error most often means the emu is running wild (due to whatever error), and tries to interprete some random memory as code.

    The reason for this can be everything. Best way is to reduce everything to minimum.
    Not sure if this is true in your case though. But mess around with settings and reduce them as far as you can and see if it helps. Otherwise you could try another emulator. Either Psx or ePSXe.
