Xenogears cutscene problems

I'm playing xenogears on the epsxe emulator with a PS2 gamepad and whenever I get to an anime cutscene, the sound completely goes out, but just for the scene. Does anyone know of a solution for this?

You can either try a different sound plugin or dependent on where you sourced your ISO from it could be a rip. A lot of the PS1 stuff floating about are ripped games where large sound and/or video files were taken out to reduce the filesize.
Most of these date back years to the days when people were ripping and burning games to use with their original PS1's.

So if a different sound plugin doesn't solve the problem then you need to find a better source for your games.
