Noob, ps2 roms emu on system itself ?

Hello.

I'm new to the whole emulator thing, but have some on pc.

Now, I have seen a picture of modded ps2 that can play roms ?
Can this mean that "all" my emu and rooms that i play on my
Pc I can play on a modded playstation 2 ?

If so, I like to buy.

Not all , but you can play NES,SNES,SMS,GENESIS , MAME. Actually i've played these kind of systems when i used to have a PS2. Now at that time a GBA emu was already made about 33% ,i don't know by now. Anyway a XBOX(not XBOX 360) can play a whole lot more systems. Like the PS2 , the XBOX also needs to be modded.
