Memory card problem (epsxe)

Its not a massive problem but i am stuck a bit. I finished playing ff8, and i didnt complete it 100% ( i didnt have the lionheart weapon if your interested) so i took an old save file from a friend who had it and deleted mine, but his didnt work either. So my basic problem is, is that when i go to save it works perfectly fine, but when i finished disc 3 and saved it, then tried to load up disc 4 they say i have no data from my memory card. I tried to manually configure it but it doest work. What should i do?

If you've saved at the last save point on disk 3 just before it asks you to make the disk swap, then shut the emulator down completely, start it back up and load disk 4, you should then be able to carry on from the final save on disk 3.
