I was reffering to if Nintendo releases new firmware like 3.5 or something.
I was reffering to if Nintendo releases new firmware like 3.5 or something.
I was refering to any update, nintendo can disable hombrew apps or brick your wii or remove/fix bugs/glitches in some games.

Well I don't understand what that thing you linked to in that last post is than.
http://wbb.rockman18.com/?page=home&ln=enWhat is the WiiBrickBlocker ?
It's a small piece of software that enables you to patch an Iso file before you burn it. A Wii DVD consists of 3 partitions, one of them is the update. The WiiBrickBlocker modifies these partitions and replaces one of them without any update. You just have to choose your Iso file, and click Patch, it only takes 30sec... After that you can burn your Iso and the game will launch without an update so you will be able to play your import game.

It is it an alternative to the backup channel or do you use it on your PC to correctly burn games. That's what I'm not getting.
You use it on your pc, it just removes the update from the iso, nothing else, also to play a legit(non-backup) copy of Brawl requires an update that comes with the game(some games require specific updates to work), updates from a different region game can brick your wii. This should help you with your wii hacking...:

yes, I have Naruto EX3(released only in japan) and a Pal SSBB....Does this Backup Channel play burnt games from other countries?
Also, when playing other region games you might have to force a video mode(...I have to force NTSC every time when I want to play Brawl, if i dont the screen will be messed up).
