    What is the WiiBrickBlocker ?
It's a small piece of software that enables you to patch an Iso file before you burn it. A Wii DVD consists of 3 partitions, one of them is the update. The WiiBrickBlocker modifies these partitions and replaces one of them without any update. You just have to choose your Iso file, and click Patch, it only takes 30sec... After that you can burn your Iso and the game will launch without an update so you will be able to play your import game.

It is it an alternative to the backup channel or do you use it on your PC to correctly burn games. That's what I'm not getting.

You use it on your pc, it just removes the update from the iso, nothing else, also to play a legit(non-backup) copy of Brawl requires an update that comes with the game(some games require specific updates to work), updates from a different region game can brick your wii. This should help you with your wii hacking...:

Well the only game out there with an update is Brawl, and I've already had that since the day it came out so I've had the update for almost a year now so it sholdn't be a problem.

EDIT: BTW. Does this Backup Channel play burnt games from other countries?

yes, I have Naruto EX3(released only in japan) and a Pal SSBB.
Also, when playing other region games you might have to force a video mode(...I have to force NTSC every time when I want to play Brawl, if i dont the screen will be messed up).

...many games work, few don't, and there is no dual-layer support(SSBB is currently the only DL game), but you can still play a hacked SSBB version, most SSE movies removed, the samus/pikachu intro is replaced by all SSE movies except some character intros, everything else is fine except the demo nes/snes games, and no I can't provide a link to the torrent.
I also tried Naruto Shippuuden EX3 and it works near flawless, there is lag in 1p mode when too many enemies are near.

Wait, Even though it's a Gamecube Launcher it runs Wii games right? (this is probably a stupid question I bet)
