Default how to save MvsC2 in nullDC?

    hi all

a friend gave me this emulator and a game
    nullDC_100b1_6_mmu

    marvel vs capcom 2
    zer-mvc2.cdi

i know it not the latest version of nullDC, however it works fine. runs great and smooth. i been playing it today.

however, i was just wondering, is it possible to save?

so that i can come back later and continue where i left off.

im new to nulldc emulator, only ever used mame.

    cheers

    automatically saves my progress?

but when i close nulldc, and open it up later on, i have to start a new game?

is there a way to load the previous progress?

my plugins are same as your picture, except my PowerVR (Graphics Plugin) is Chankast's Video not nullPVR.

if i use nullPVR, the game wont load and nulldc just closes.

    cheers

Sounds like you haven't formatted the virtual VMU's (memory units). When you boot nulldc, select normal boot but instead of loading the ISO cancel it with the (X) button and boot to the Dreamcast Dashboard instead, whilst on the dashboard go to File, then that should bring you to the VMU screen, you'll need to format both of your memory cards first for Nulldc to use them. Using the (A) button click on them and follow the prompts to erase/format them.

    Hope that helps.

A properly worded google will usually take you straight to the answer you need for loads of emulation related problems like this > How do I do that?

You need to make sure those VMU files isn't 'read-only' too.

With games like MvsC2 I'm pretty sure it autosaves. Once your VMU's are setup it automatically saves your progress and should look for any saved data and re-instate it automatically when you boot it back up, like 99% of other fighting games do.

Right-click on the VMU file. Select properties and uncheck the 'read-only' option.
