    Default Distorted Sound on Project 64

    When I play games on Project 64, the sound gets all distorted. Is that fixable or do I need a new emulator or what?

    Some games require the option "Sync game to audio" to be enabled in the audio plugin config.

    Have you checked the GameFAQ so there's no known sound issues?
    One thing to try after that would be another sound plugin.
    Is it just one game and if so, what game is it?
