    Default PsP emulator doesn't work

I've got both potemkin and PSPE, i know PSPE isn't meant to run commercial games but apparently potemkin is and i can't get final fantasy VII crisis core to run. The emulator seems very weird to me, I know how to use snes9x and ePSXe etc. but they are simpler.

The rom came in 3 large .rar files then I unzipped them and they complied together but none of the files in the folders of the game appear to be supported file types when i click "open" in the emulator (there are some .bin files and such), though i tried to run another game, soul reaver which did have an eboot.pbp file that showed up in the open window so i opened it then tried to run it but nothing happened just black screen (i meant to get the PC version for that game (soul reaver) though i had no idea there was a PSP one since it is an older game that launched on PS1 and came out on PC later).

Some weird window full of code comes up whenever i try to open a file, but i saw some guy in a youtube video just drag it off the screen then click run and his game would start so thats what i've been trying to do.

Don't expect any PSP emulator to do much... Sony will shut down anything that threatens sales.
