I think eboot is something used with the PSP so no, if you want to run them on the PC via something like ePSXe you will need to convert them to a disc image format like ISO or cue/bin.

Apparently an app called PSX2PSP can convert eboot files to ISO and Vice-Versa so you might want to give that a try.

EDIT: I have solved the sound issue, so no need for advice on this one. Thanks

I have converted the Eboot files to ISO. It is the Resident Evil collection for PSX for those that care. I got it from a torrent.

The problem now is that some of the sound from the game is missing. When the game starts the characters talk to each other in RE1 in the beginning. I can't hear them talking at all. I know i didn't do ne thing wrong when converting the files. Could it just be a bad dump or something? The only sound effects i can hear are: clock ticking in dinning room, slash sound when i go to stab a zombie and the zombie moaning, that is it. I have tested all but one of the Resident Evil converted to ISO files and they all have the same sound problem.

Sounds like a rip. Basically a lot of Playstation ISO's (especially if they are older ones) had various things 'ripped' out of them to make the file sizes smaller or circumvent protection to make them easier to copy and run from CD's.

So you have probably downloaded a ripped version.

Like i said in the post above I solved the issue. All i had to do was enable CDDA sound, and XA sound. That enabled all the sound effects and music in all the titles that needed that function on. Thanks again though.
