Is it possible to play the races in Mario Kart 64 in reverse? I know that it's possible using the Nintendo 64 console, but what about in an emulator?

If you claim you can do it on the actual console, why wouldn't it work on an emulator? If it's a function of the game it would work the same in an emulator.
