A quick question..

Is it possible for me to disable the coin insert in MAME? I would like to play where I can select the vs mode, single mode, practice mode just like in neo-geo.
Example, King of Fighters 98. TQ.
Oh, btw, I'm using MAME mameuifx32.
I think is version 0.125.

So get a neo-geo emulator? Mame emulates arcade, thus it emulates the coin slot..

well, I was hoping to get marvel vs capcom to work as KOF too. But marvel vs capcom is only available in MAME? =p

In mame there is no way to actively disable the coin slots, since mame promotes faithful emulation of the machines.

However you can select the NeoGeo bios and open it (just as you would a neogeo game), press TAB once its loaded then go into DIP settings. There's a dip option to enable FreePlay. If you enable that then it will set all Neo games to free play.

As for putting the MVS into AES mode (enabling all the home console options), you need to use the NeoGeo Unibios (which we can't link to from here as its subject to copyright). Googling for NeoGeo enable AES mode should get you on the right track.
