    My msn Version is 6.2
    and i get this error when i try to open it
    it says

    Problem With Shortcut
    The Parameter is incorrect



    has anyone ever get this error or had this problem and fixed it
    i tryed to go to the main exe of msn but it didnt work got the same
    error

    Did you happen to update MSN? That happens to old MSN shortcuts after you update the program.

    Run it from Start > Programs > MSN Messenger and you should be fine.

    No I didn't update msn, I used a program on my computer and it restored every thing back to when the cpu was purchessed, and then when i went to use msn 6.2
    it said parameter incorrect so i looked around and theres and older version of msn that works, but i want my msn 6.2 to work i tryed updating it but it dont work for some reason it says it installed but when i open it its still the old version of msn
    i mean i tryed updatibg the working version of msn

    JeremyStCyr, I try your idea i jus hope when i uninstall bolth msn's i'll be able to get msn back on my computer

    Go to Start > Run and run this command
    Code:
    RunDll32 advpack.dll,LaunchINFSection %windir%\inf\msmsgs.inf,BLC.Remove
    This will remove any version of windows messenger. Now go to http://messenger.msn.com and get the latest version of MSN messenger.
