VBA cheat code problem

Okay I have a cheat code problem when I play pokemon fire red. When I enter the codes like catch any pokemon or buy any item it seems to "remember" the first pokemon or item I wanted to buy/catch and refuses to catch/buy a different one even when I change the code. If I turn off the code everything goes back to normal though.

You might be making a mistake somewhere or the code might be buggy.

If I remember correctly that is a problem that happens,even if you use a real game shark.

So is there any kind of remedy? Should I try resetting the game and trying again until it works or what.

Try Codebreaker or Action Replay instead of Gameshark.
