Nintendo 64 ROM Codes

I'm just starting to get into downloading and collecting ROMs for the Nintendo 64, SNES and NES and don't know what most of the codes are. Do you happen to know what f1, M1, t1, h1C would mean (for the N64)? I also wanted to ask what the best codes would be to download games? I'm guessing ones that are USA games (U) and have a (!) after it for a good dump. I want to start downloading games but alot of them have a dozen or more codes after them. Thanks!
