i keep changing the configuration at the controller part but it never listens. the only key that responds while chankast is running is the 2 key. what can i do other than buy a gamepad

I don't know. I prefer NullDC, Demul and Makaron. They are very active and update all the time. The Chakast stopped development few years ago and dont know if they still working on it or stop working on it.
It is better to get NullDC, Demul or Makaron which they have a very higher compabilities games.
