It is kinda bug that slow down the USA version for a while before it show up anything. Please report the problem to Lino the Developer at iDeaS site. It's very important to report him, please go and report so he can fix it in the next version.
Anyway, why don't you try no$gba 2.6 ? It works great and speed is fast.
