Okay, fine. I was led by your initial response to think that Fusion was notorious for losing save data.

No, I made those comments in regards to emulators in general

My brother had the same problem on an older computer with ZSNES years ago

So I'm confused. I too am struggling with Shining Force, which is the game I specifically downloaded Fusion for. Is there a way to save the games through Fusion or do I need a different emulator?

I would say from experience that the problem described in this thread is *not* Fusion. And, Fusion is in my opinion a better emulator than Gens. Works great for me so far.

The problem with missing saves inside a game is not (I think) the emulators fault but it can happen if you move your Roms. And the poster in this thread did say he moved them. I'm not sure how the saves work so I can't tell you why this happens when you move them, all I know is that the saves are ok when I leave the roms alone.

Anyway, I use the save states as a back-up of the game's internal save function. And you can use Save states in both Fusion and Gens and it's not limited to Cd-games as a previous poster states. (There seems to be alot of wrong info in this thread).

I hope I've cleared things up a bit for you. Otherwise, just ask if there's something still unclear.
