Thread: Project 64 full screen jaggies ?

Default Project 64 full screen jaggies ?

Hi guys, I'm having a little problem. Whenever I enter Project 64 into its full screen mode, all of the geometric models have jagged edges everywhere. I'm wondering if this is due to my graphics chip set or possibly the size of my monitor (wide screen, 19 in.) . I do not use a dedicated video card, instead my computer relies on an Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 950. If I was to add a dedicated video card, more specifically an Nvidia 7200 GS (I would prefer not to spend a lot of money), would it eliminate my jagged 3D models problem ?

Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

Your Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 950 do not support this emulator at all.

    Here:

    Recommended System Specification

o Intel Pentium 3 1.5Ghz or higher or AMD Athlon 1.5 GHz or higher
    o 512MB RAM or more
o nVidia GeForce FX or later or ATI Radeon 9500 or later
o 1GB or more free hard drive space
o Creative Soundblaster Live! or higher
o Adaptoid and original Nintendo N64 controller for each player
o Microsoft Windows XP with latest updates.
    Optional extras:
o video card with TV out and a high quality widescreen television set
o high quality stereo speakers supporting dolby virtual surround
o USB hub and/or controller extension cables
o genuine Nintendo Rumble Pak for each player
    and

    Minimum / Basic System Requirements

o Intel Pentium 3 700Mhz or AMD Athlon 800Mhz CPU*
    o 256MB system RAM
o 200MB free hard drive space + additional 20MB-100MB free hard drive space per game, depending on game and number of saves you make
o 100% Microsoft DirectX 7 compatible video, sound and input devices**. See below for realistic minimum video hardware!
    o Microsoft Windows 98
    o Microsoft DirectX 8
*the plugins contain SSE optimisations, early Athlons did not have SSE.
**The video device must be a primary device, have at least 16MB local memory and two texture units. Depending on the features supported by your video card some content may not be displayed correctly and thus some games marked as compatible may suffer glitches or not be playable on your system. The exact features required vary from game to game.
Realistic minimum video hardware for the v1.5x video plugin:
nVidia GeForce256 (GF1) and ATI Radeon (early models) are suggested as realistic minimum video hardware. With good drivers they have the required features (blend modes etc.) for the D3D6 plugin.
    and

Realistic minimum video hardware for the v1.6 or later video plugin
nVidia GeForce3 or ATI Radeon 8500 or later. With good drivers they have the required features (pixel shaders v1.1 etc.) for the D3D8 plugin.
Better cards mainly allow higher resolutions, filtering, anti-aliasing and so on without substantially increasing emulation accuracy.
    Last one:

The following graphics chipsets (thus all graphics cards based on them) can be considered below minimum specification:

    o 3dfx Voodoo 1,2,3 (1,2 - not at all, 3 - poor image quality)
o ATI Rage128, Rage Pro (poor image quality)
    o Intel i740, i810 (poor image quality)
    o Matrox G200, G400, G450 (poor image quality)
o nVidia Riva128 (poor image quality)
o S3 Savage 4, Savage 2000 (particularly bad, these cards hang)
You may find that Project64 usable on a lower-specification system than described here, particularly with some games and careful configurationm, and/or 3rd party plugins. If so then enjoy, but please don't expect too much, and we do not support below min. spec. systems sorry.
    MacBook Pro 13" with a Retina October 2014 (Purchased on March 28, 2015) - macOS Sierra (10.12.1)

    iPhone 6+ - iOS 10.1.1

    I have:

Processor: Intel Core2 Duo 2.4 GHZs
    RAM: Corsair 2 GB
    Graphics: NVIDIA 7300, 256 MB
    Screen: Samsung Widescreen 19"

And I have the same problem. Some times, when I go to fullscreen twice or three times the image turns black. Anyone know possible cause????

What you speak of is aliasing. You need to turn on anti- aliasing. I think pj64 normally does this for you. In the event it did not, you should see the options in you properties of your video card. PJ64 may have this option or setting I'm not sure.. IF not..

You would unchecked app controlled and select 2x or higher . The higher you go the more power is required.
