The MAME problem

This may have been discussed about on another thread, but I recently downloaded MAME 0.123, and some MAME (Arcade) roms, but I can't play any of the games because they keep saying: "ERROR: required files are missing, this game cannot be run."

Is there something wrong with the emulator or the roms? I've tried downloading different emulators and roms, but I get stuck with the same message.

(EDIT: Sorry to ask, but what's 'Mild NSFW'? I may have made a small mistake tagging that into this thread).

If mame reports files missing then the roms you are using are not up to date for that version of the emulator. As mame is updated changes are made to many of the roms, the only way to fix it is to source updated versions or use an older version of the emulator.

How do i get a game pad to work with MAMEUI32? I have set all the controller menues to mouse input or something like it. I still can't get he Logitech Gamepad to work at all. Key board doesn't work either. Please give me some advice.
