    if ROMs r illigel, then why the hell do they have emulators u can download??? could there be an other use for emulators????

    Well, think about it. Emulators aren't made by the game or console companies (bar rare occasions), they're made by hobby programmers at home for free. The reason you can easily download an emulator is that the programmers can generally get away with putting them on the Internet without being prosecuted, as it's a grey area in legal terms. ROMs however are easier to prosecute for, and so they're harder to find. However, most people can easily find any ROM they want with a bit of effort.

    Other uses for emulators include game development - if you're making a game, it's usually easier to test it on an emulator than to download it to the actual hardware. Also they are made for educational purposes and common interest, as well as debugging.

    The only condition of having roms easily is that YOU MUST HAVE A LEGAL COPY OF THE GAME. If you wanna get an illegal one... Look for it. How, don't know. It's fucking hard!!!
