    Default help with GBA emulator(lag)

Ok, im new to the wonderful world of emulators and was wondering, is it normal for games to lag so much? i have No$gba 2.5c and so far ive got games to work fine, except for the lag ofcourse, thanks to this forum. However whenever i try to play gba or ds games they tend to lag, usually with gba going down to 65% and 10-20% with ds. Is there any way i can speed these up? seeing as i dont really play DS games because i heard i need a high-end comp should i download another emulator just for gba games? if so what would you recommend?

thanks for all help, it is really appreciated.

EDIT: here is a pic of my current settings:

Try 2.6 version. This emulator is still in development, remember ?

Yes, you need a high-end comp or wait for speed to improvement in the next versions.

The no$gba plays both NDS and GBA games.
