Loading screen freezes

I set up Pcsx2, configured it correctly, but whenever I try to play a game, it freezes at welcome screen. I tested several games, GT, FIFA 2k7 and MLB 2k7 The Show, all freez at the loading screen. I tried different video and CD plugins, but nothing has worked so far. Anybody knows how to fix this?

I can play PS1 games using ePSXe without a problem.

System specs: 2.33 Dual Core @ 2.6GHz, 2 gigs of ram, 8600GTS and an EVGA 590i motherboard.

No, PS2 games on Pcsx2

Im just saying that PS1 games work normaly on ePSXe on my setup.
